The ground invasion of Gaza City has begun.
22 months of the genocide by the Israeli state and its allies was just the beginning. A test to see how far the world would allow the Israeli state to go in pursuit of their true aim, the expulsion, displacement, and death of all Palestinians.
The Irish state has readily bankrolled this genocide through Israeli war bonds, export licenses for dual use technology, and permiting the domiciling of companies that fund the genocide. Ireland is Israel’s second largest trading partner including technology with lethal military applications, and following BREXIT the Central Bank of Ireland is the sole facilitator of the sale of all Israeli bonds within the European Union. Without this crucial technology, military research, and war bonds revenue the genocide would be unable to continue at its current pace. The complete hypocrisy from the Irish state is becoming clearer, as the chasm between actions and words widens.
The message to the bourgeois parties in Ireland and abroad is simple, you are complicit in genocide. No amount of retroactive apologies and wringing of hands can change this fact. The working youth will not forget or forgive these crimes against humanity. Any delay or stipulations in expressing solidarity contributed to the narrative constructed against the Palestinian people, the narrative that this was at any point a just war of retaliation, or an effort to secure the hostages. The Israeli offensive was never about the hostages or Hamas, evidenced by the fact that 83% of all casualties in Gaza have been civilians, even after the leaders of Hamas were eliminated, and most of the hostages were killed by Israeli carpet bombing.
We raise our voice for peace, against the capitalist war machine. We recommit to intensify our struggle against the barbaric system that gave birth to this war of extermination. The capitalist system has outgrown itself, and must use warfare, genocide, and coups to open up new markets, acquire more profitable resources, and accelerate the carving up of the world into spheres of influence. The Palestinian people are some of the first and most enduring victims of this, but unless we organise and intensify our struggle, it is guaranteed they will not be the last.
It is imperative that the capitalist system is identified as the real enemy of peace, and it is struggled against relentlessly. We call on every single youth of conscience around the world to stand up against the capitalists wars, against the genocide and its profiteers, to stand resolutely for peace.
They will not silence us, and their attempts to do so only make us stronger!
